timeline
Forensic science started back in 1836, by a man named James M. Marsh. He created a method for discovering arsenic in the human tissue. This method is known as the Marsh Test. In 1906 president Theodore Roosevelt signed a act that will prevent the of trafficking poisonous and adulterated foods. Also trafficking liquor and patent medicines was prevented. In 1922, while most people died in car accidents, hangings, crashed elevators, gun shot wounds, and stabbings, 977 of the people die from poisonings. In 1948, The American Academy of Forensic Science is founded. Because of the publication of the Journal of Forensic Sciences, this academy became well known. In 1962, the very first meeting of the professional Society of Toxicology was held in Atlantic City. Forensic science is a good thing to have now, the results that come out are accurate but then in other times the results may be altered. DNA is a easy thing to change, so the results that come out may be different from what people think will be the final result. So the scientists have to be careful with what they do to the DNA and make sure that they do not make any mistakes.
